A Very Special Anniversary
One special day 40 years ago a young couple in love pledged their lives to each other just after an old fashioned South Dakota Blizzard. And boy are we glad they did! Thanks for loving each other and loving us! Here is to another wonderful, and never uneventful 40 years!

December
Last night was HSM on Ice at the Excel center with S's girlscout troop. We ate at Cosettas and then enjoyed the show. As Sharpay would say it was "Absolutely FAB-U-LOUS!!!!!!"

S had her Christmas piano recital. Every year it is tradition to have a parent play a duet with the child if they have any piano background. I was hoping to have some video of that but here are some pictures. With mom, her piano teacher and other students! What a wonderful way to get in the holiday mood!

A bit of Christmas cheer!
Sorry I haven't gotten to the blog. It always seems to take me awhile to figure out how to get something up on it, and as many of you reading this know, time is not something we have much of this time of year. Here is a little something to keep your Christmas mood up! J was pretty little but just as loud! What a cutie!

Halloween

What a Haul!!!
Spooky!!
Pretty pumpkin, she did it all herself! First year!
Ready to take on Redwood!

J loved the climbing wall!
Underdog!!!
Speed of Lightning, Roar of Thunder!Happy Halloween! Boy do you have opportunities to celebrate Halloween when you are 5! J started celebrating last Friday with the ECFE fall festival. Big sis worked at the fair with her friends and had a blast too. Please note J and S's costumes. Mom's creativity at work. Also her first attempt at sewing since 7th grade. (the Underdog cape) Unfortunately with all the excitement tonight we forgot to give Underdog his nose and S had a green face on Friday too. Today the older ones had a normal school day. J had a party at preschool, another at daycare, trick or treating at the library and then went out with big bro and sis! Exhausting!!!

MEA Trip to the North

Pumpkins in St. Augusta
The men take 5.
Mom was nervous having the kids so close to the falls.

Mom was nervous having the kids so close to the falls.

Candy Apple Treats! (J didn't want one)

Wow! I can't believe how time fly's. We had such a great time up in Duluth over MEA and then we came home and really got busy with the boys in full swing hockey, S's 4-H events and filling in for vaction at work all week (which was unusually busy). Here are some pictures from the trip. We took many but I won't bore you. We had a great time. It was fun to get away and do something just us as a family. We didn't get an opportunity do really do anything like that over the summer with all the family events. We stayed at a hotel right on the lake. The kids loved it! The room had a room for mom and dad and another room for the kids which had a balcony overlooking the lake and binoculars so the kids could look for ships. It was very stormy for some of the time. The power of the lake is amazing. The kids liked going down to the shore and climbing on the rocks while the waves slammed onto the shore. We had smores by the shore at night and swam in the heated pool on the roof in the rain! We spent our last day going up the shore and to Gooseberry. The falls were raging and almost dangerous. Nothing like last year when the kids played on the rock under the falls. We ended our trip with our annual visit to the St. Augusta pumkin patch on our way home. A great weekend!!!
